Founded in 1978 by Wayne Edwards and Dana Pickup, Care Free Homes Company began as an exterior home remodeling company. The success of its roofing, siding, window, door, and small carpentry projects prompted an expansion to include small additions. In 1996, Care Free Homes Company began building custom homes in many areas of Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

As second generation family entered the business, CFH Builders, a division of Care Free Homes Company, was formed to focus on the need of quality building. Today, CFH Builders completes an array of home construction projects that range from elevated waterfront homes to free-standing garages.
